It's Easter, but where is God?

Easter Sunday, isn't it? This is the time when Mary Magdalene and the disciples felt different. They saw that Jesus Christ was not anymore in his tomb. Where is He? Where did He go?

An inspiring message from the homily today sparkled my thoughts and the priest used the acronym that Jesus Christ was in SWAMPS. I thought at first that He is in swamps, a little body of water, but not really. If we were to ask you, "Where is God?" you will probably answer "God is with us."

This acronym shows that God is with us through 6 different things. These are

Sacraments
God is present in the Sacraments, and as we were taught in our Religion or Christian Living class, Jesus first instituted the Holy Eucharist. Thus, Jesus' presence is with us in this part of our lives: in the Sacraments we receive each time of our lives.

Word
The Bible itself has the presence of our Lord. From the day he was born, and in His mission days, our Lord Jesus Christ's presence was therefore acknowledged. Even though we can't see him physically, His words are present through our lives and it is by the liturgy we often hear.

Assembly
It is we, who build up Christ's presence. We go to mass, because we worship Christ and do his promised works. The only question is that, do we keep His presence now a days? Do we fill up the presence of Jesus Christ in everyone?

Minister
The priests, clergies and laymen are in the presence of God. It is because God entrusted them to do His ministry and to keep the faith of every one in Him. Therefore, if they are successors of the mission of Christ, they are therefore presences of Lord Jesus Christ.

Prayer
Yes it is. This is the constant connection of ourselves in God. Through prayer, we see the presence of Christ in hearing what is our petitions, thanksgiving and granting or breaking it. In times where in God may grant your prayer or not, God's presence is there. It is because He decides which is right for you and what is just for your decisions.

Service
As God has mentioned second greatest commandment, we "shall love our neighbor as ourselves", we are told to love each other and what other way to show it is through service. Serving each other is giving God's presence among us, and therefore Jesus' presence is also with us. Through service, we create love. Through love, we fulfill God's commandments and therefore Jesus' presence is in our lives.

Dear friends, the message of Easter is not the death of the presence of God, thus the beginning of our unending presence within us. In return let us also start to awaken our love to God and feel His presence to always be with us. Good Afternoon and God Bless. :)
