Cars 101: The AMG Black Series Family

Mercedes-Benz and AMG (Aufrecht Melcher Großaspach ) cooperated to create the best cars, which they call the Black Series. They are faster than their standard variants, generating more horsepower and torque from their engines.


Here are the three cars from the Black Series family:


1. Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG Black Series- This car runs at 320 kph, and 0-100 kph in 3.7 seconds. It generates 661 bhp at 6,000 rpm, about 1 time faster than the standard SL65. The use of carbon-fiber reduces weight, thus increasing speed and horses, thanks to the use of this material in the trunk, roof, and the front fenders.


2. Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Coupe Black Series- This car runs at 321 kph, and 0-100 kph in 4 seconds(estimate). It generates 500 bhp at 7,200 rpm, and 630 Newton-meters of torque. In the inside, there are bucket seats and a rear bench. The rear can be spec'd out, making it a 2-seater coupe. It has a carbon-fiber wing, front-splitter and flics.





3. Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series- On September 20, 2011, AMG director Tobias Moers announced that they will be launching a 'Black Series' version of the SLS. "We absolutely have to do a Black Series" he said, giving no more additional information. We currently don't have any specifications, all we know that it will generate an estimated 600 horses and 650 Nm of twist.
